Important Notes Before You Start:
- This procedure requires one working ignition key
- Vehicles that are 2011 and up require an automotive locksmith or dealership programming
Procedure 1 - For Vehicles With Driver Information Center
- Ensure that all remotes expected to work for the vehicle are present. Any remotes that are not present will stop functioning until they are reprogrammed
- Insert the key in the ignition
- Turn the key to "ON" position (without cranking ignition)
- Press the vehicles information button until "press to relearn remote key" displays
- Press the set/reset button until "remote key learning active" display indicating that the vehicle is in learning mode
- Press and hold "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons at the same time for 15 seconds. The system will chime indicating that the remote is programmed
- Repeat step 6 for all additional remotes (You can program up to 8 remotes including existing remotes)
- To exit programming mode, turn the key to "OFF" position and remove it from the ignition
- Test all remotes. If any of the remotes did not program, then repeat the procedure from step 1
Procedure 2 - For Vehicles Without Driver Information Center
- Vehicle must be in Park "P"
- Insert the key in the ignition
- Turn the key to "ON" position (without cranking engine)
- Press the trip odometer reset button until "relearn remote key" displays
- Press and hold the trip odometer reset button for 3 seconds until "remote key learning active" displays
- Press and hold "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons and the same time for 15 seconds. The system will chime indicating that the remote is programmed
- Repeat step 6 for all additional remotes (You can program up to 8 remotes including existing remotes)
- To exit programming mode, turn the key to "OFF" position and remove it from the ignition
- Test all remotes. If any of the remotes did not program, then repeat the procedure from step 1
