Important Notes Before You Start:
- This procedure requires a working ignition key
- These instructions are applicable to vehicles that have separate remotes, which are not integrated with the ignition key
- Ensure that all remotes expected to work for the vehicle are present. Any remotes that are not present during programming procedure will stop functioning until they are reprogrammed
Programming Instructions - Procedure 1
- Close all the doors and make sure the key is out of the ignition.
- Insert the car key in the ignition
- Within 10 seconds, turn the car key to the "ON" position and then to the "OFF" position eight times. This procedure must end when the key is in "ON" position
- Door will lock and unlock indicating that the remote is in "learning mode"
- Press any button on the first remote within 20 seconds. The central locking system will cycle (lock/unlock) to confirm that the programming was successful
- If you have a second remote: press any button on the remote within 20 seconds. The central locking system will cycle (lock/unlock) to confirm that the programming was successful
- Turn the ignition to the "OFF" position. The locks will cycle again to indicate the end of the programming mode
- Test all remotes. If any of the remotes did not program, then repeat the procedure from step 1
The activation process for the "learning mode", mentioned in the third step, may differ depending on the vehicle make/model/year. For example, instead of turning the ignition "ON" and "OFF" 8 times, it may be required to do so 5 times.
When the "learning mode" is successfully activated, the central locking system will indicate it by locking and unlocking the doors quickly.
