Important Notes Before You Start:
- This procedure requires one working ignition key
- This procedure does not work with the following vehicles: 2008-2010 Infiniti QX56, 2008-2011 Infiniti EX35, 2008 Infiniti FX45
Programming Instructions
- Ensure that all remotes expected to work for the vehicle are present. Any remotes that are not present will stop functioning until they are reprogrammed
- Close all doors
- Lock all doors by pressing the "LOCK" button on the master window switch located on the driver's side door
- within 10 seconds, Insert the working key into the ignition cylinder (do not turn the vehicle on) then remove it for 6 times within approximately 1 second interval for each time until the hazard lamps flash (you may need to do this procedure for up to 12 times if the lamps do not flash)
- Insert the key into the ignition cylinder and turn it to "ACC" position by turning it counterclockwise
- Within 5 seconds, press the "LOCK" button one time on the remote. The hard lamps will flash indicating that the remote has been successfully programmed
- To program the additional remotes (including the working ones), press the "UNLOCK" button, then press the "LOCK" button on the master window switch
- Within 5 seconds, press the "LOCK" button one time on the remote. The hard lamps will flash indicating that the remote has been successfully programmed
- Repeat steps 7 and 8 for any additional remote that needs to be programmed (including the working ones)
- Turn the key to "OFF" position and remove it from the ignition cylinder
- Press on "UNLOCK" button on the master window switch to unlock the doors and open the driver's door
- Test all the remotes
Troubleshooting
- Hazard lamps did not flash while performing step 4
- Please make sure to completely remove the key from the ignition cylinder each time
- The procedure was performed too quick or too slow
- Hazard lamps did not flash when pressing the "LOCK" button on the remote
- Do not press the button more than one time
