Important Notes Before You Start:
- This procedure requires one working ignition key
Programming Instructions For:
- 2002-2007 Buick Rendezvous
- 2001-2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue
- 2001-2005 Pontiac Aztek
- Close all doors
- Press and hold the door "UNLOCK" button on the master window switch. Do not release until step 6
- Insert the working key into the ignition then remove it (do not turn the key in ignition)
- Insert the key again into the ignition then remove it (do not turn the key in ignition)
- Insert the key again into the ignition, but this time do not remove it (do not turn the key in ignition)
- Release the "UNLOCK" button on the master window switch. A Chime will sound 3 times indicating that the vehicle has entered the programming mode
- Press and hold the door "LOCK" and "UNLOCK" buttons on the remote for up to 30 seconds
- A chime will sound for 2 seconds indicating that the remote has been successfully programmed
- Repeat step 7 for any additional remote that needs to be programmed
- To exit the programming mode, please remove the key from ignition cylinder
- Test the remote
Troubleshooting
- If the procedure above did not work, please do step 3 before step 2
Programming Instructions For:
- 2001-2004 Buick Regal
- 2001-2005 Buick Century
- Ensure that all remotes expected to work for the vehicle are present. Any remotes that are not present will stop functioning until they are reprogrammed
- Close all doors
- Insert the working key into the ignition
- Turn the key to "ON" position (without cranking ignition)
- Remove the key from ignition cylinder
- Press and hold the door "UNLOCK" button on the master window switch. Do not release until step 10
- Insert the working key into the ignition then remove it (do not turn the key in ignition)
- Insert the key again into the ignition then remove it (do not turn the key in ignition)
- Insert the key again into the ignition, but this time do not remove it (do not turn the key in ignition)
- Release the "UNLOCK" button on the master window switch
- A Chime will sound 3 times indicating that the vehicle has entered the programming mode
- Press and hold the door "LOCK" and "UNLOCK" buttons on the remote for up to 30 seconds
- A chime will sound for 2 seconds indicating that the remote has been successfully programmed
- Repeat step 12 for the remaining remotes including the working remotes
- To exit the programming mode, please remove the key from ignition cylinder
- Test all remotes
Programming Instructions For:
- 2001-2003 Pontiac Grand Prix
- Ensure that all remotes expected to work for the vehicle are present. Any remotes that are not present will stop functioning until they are reprogrammed
- Remove the key from ignition cylinder
- Unplug the BCM PRGRM fuse or MALL PGM fuse from the fuse box (you only need to remove one fuse)
- Close all doors
- Insert the key in ignition cylinder and turn it to "ACC" position by turning it counterclockwise
- Open the driver's door
- Close the driver's door
- A chime will sound indicating that the vehicle has entered the programming mode
- Press and hold the door "LOCK" and "UNLOCK" buttons on the remote for up to 30 seconds
- Two chimes will sound indicating that the remote has been successfully programmed
- Repeat step 10 for the remaining remotes including the working remotes
- To exit the programming mode, please remove the key from ignition cylinder
- Plug the fuse that was removed in step 3
- Test all remotes
